Shirley Ann Hicks

Shirley Ann Hicks, 79, of Greencastle, went to be with The Lord on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018.

Shirley was born Dec. 22, 1938 in Pine Knot, Ky., to Porter and Maude (Gilreath) Stephens.

She married Bobby G. Hicks on Jan. 4, 1964, and he preceded her in death May 15, 2004.

Shirley is survived by her children, Debbie Alex and husband Gary, Ed Hicks and wife Michelle, David Hicks and wife Dawn, and Linda Hicks and fiancé Daniel Bullard; eight grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Ray Merrell Stephens, Joyce Napier and Ruth Ball.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings Pernie Ross, Lois Dunigan and Edna Vanover.

Visitation will be Monday, Sept. 10 from 5-8 p.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Sept.11 at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Cloverdale Cemetery.
