Bobby Ray Crawley

Bobby Ray Crawley, 89, of Bainbridge, passed way on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018 at Putnam County Hospital, Greencastle.

He was born July 12, 1929 in Greencastle to Thomas Jefferson and Vera Mae (Smith) Crawley.

He married Roberta Crawley.

After graduating from Roachdale High School, he served in the Army during the Korean Conflict.

He retired from IBM in Greencastle where he worked in Logistics.

He was a member of the Bainbridge United Methodist Church Church where he enjoyed taking care of the yard. He belonged to the Roachdale VFW and served as a worshipful master at Roachdale Masonic Lodge 602.

He was a handyman and automotive enthusiast who enjoyed helping everyone.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Roberta Crawley; two sons, David (Sherry) Crawley, Bainbridge, and Rod (Donna) Crawley, Equality, Ala.; three grandchildren, Amber Robinson, Mitch Crawley and Cristen Hecht; three great-grandchildren, Maddie, Jesse and Jace; sibling Donna Craver, Indianapolis; several nieces, nephews and cousins; stepson Dennis (Chelsea) Bougher, Terre Haute; multiple step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death his parents.

Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Friends may visit with the family from 11 a.m. until time of the service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Roachdale Cemetery with military rites provided by the United States Army. Pastor Casey Archer will be officiating.
