Carolyn S. Scott

Carolyn S. Scott, 82, of Cloverdale, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018.

She was born May 20, 1936 in Putnam County to the late Rolla and Alice Mildred Cooksey.

She married Arthur L. Scott on June 26, 1954, and he survives.

She was a member of Amity Baptist Church and was involved with the Order of Eastern Star.

She was a wonderful cook, according to everyone who sat at her table.

In addition to her husband she is survived by her children, Randy (Debby) Scott, Eric (Sherri) Scott, Michele (Dennis) Padgett, Bryan Scott, Douglas (Dale) Scott; six grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; seven step great-grandchildren and siblings Rhonda (Hank) Stinson, and Arlene (Sonny) Ooley.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, Jan. 3 at 11 a.m. at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be Wednesday, Jan. 2 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
