Putnam Scanner for February 20, 2019

Two people were booked in the Putnam County Jail on Monday.

• At 11:45 p.m. Troy Stone Martin, 21, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.

• At 10:58 p.m. Jonathan Lee McClure, 33, Poland, was booked in for driving with a BAC of .08 or more.

City Police

One arrest was reported recently by Greencastle City Police officers.

• At 7:10 p.m. Monday, Willie Spears, 26, Greencastle, was arrested on North Jackson Street by Officer Elsiana Crosby.

Arrested on a Marion County warrant for possession of methamphetamine, Spears was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Two recent traffic citations were issued by City Police officers.

• At 9:57 p.m. Sunday, Angela Inman, 25, Greencastle, was cited by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped on Percy Julian Drive near Avenue E, Inman was ticketed for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 11:41 p.m. Saturday, Leon Harris III, 35, Indianapolis, was ticketed for speeding by Officer Alec Pettit.

Stopped on Veterans Memorial Highway, Harris was cited for 72 mph in a 40-mph zone.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department reported performing two recent medical assists.
