Arlus Kenneth 'Ken' Woodall

Arlus Kenneth "Ken" Woodall, 75, of McCordsville, Ind., passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 in Rockville, Ind.

He was born on April 23, 1944 to Audrey and Nora Emily (Phillips) Woodall-Dickerson.

On Oct. 19, 1965 he married Patricia Ann (Witt) Woodall at the Roachdale Presbyterian Church, and she survives him.

He proudly served in the United States Air Force as a jet engine mechanic and was honorably discharged in 1966.

He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Murat Shriners, Eastern Star and the Roachdale Baptist Church.

He also served on the Gosport Town Council from 1995-1998.

Ken worked for decades in the freight industry as a long haul driver. He concluded with Yellow Freight, retiring in 2000 after a 28-year career.

He enjoyed NASCAR racing, golf, fishing, tractors and gardening, but his true love was being a grandfather to his eight grandchildren.

Ken had a big heart and always was ready to help others; he particularly enjoyed delivering meals to the elderly and people less fortunate.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Woodall, McCordsville; children Kenneth (Rachel) Woodall, Waldorf, Md., and Karen (Thomas) John, Indianapolis; grandchildren Taylor, Syndey, Kennedy, Devon, Ethan, Elijah, Leo and Raylin; and brother Robert "Bobby" Woodall, Danville, along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Arthur Woodall and sisters Louise Mason and Lois Jean Lanham.

Funeral services will be conducted at noon Monday, May 6 at Servies and Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale. Pastor Nathan Miller will be officiating.

Friends may visit with the family prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Monday, May 6 at Gosport Cemetery
