The 105th annual Bainbridge High School Alumni Association banquet is set for Saturday, June 29 in the Bainbridge Community Building.

The welcome hour will begin at 5 p.m., with the buffet dinner following at 6:30 p.m.

The program will be highlighted by the recognition of the fifth annual Bainbridge High School Alumni Scholarship winner and a musical skit by the BHS class of 1969.

Kolten Thorson, a recent North Putnam High School graduate and son of Kevin and Heather Thorson, won the scholarship.

Special 60-year anniversary recognition will be given to members of the BHS 1958-59 regional championship and undefeated regular season basketball team, coaches, manager and cheerleaders.

Classes to be honored this year at the banquet include 1944 (75 years since graduation), 1949 (70 years since graduation), 1959 (60 years since graduation) and 1969 (50 years since graduation).

Class speakers scheduled to make remarks include Bob Miles of Heritage Lake, who will introduce his 1949 classmates; Maria Tracy Kiger of Danville, who will present her class of 1959; and Carol (Evens) McFarland of Paris, Ill., who will speak for the 50-year class of 1969.

All alumni are welcome to bring guests, and anyone who attended Bainbridge High School or has an interest in the school is welcome to attend. Information is also available on the Bainbridge alumni website at: www.bainbridgealumni.webs.com, which is maintained by Doyne Priest of Greencastle.

Other officers of the Bainbridge High School Alumni Association this year include Debra Alcorn Lanie of Zionsville, president; Carolyn Roth Hiser of Avon, vice-president; and Alan Ader of Rockville, corresponding secretary.
