Social justice fund set up in DePauw student’s memory

Established in memory of a DePauw University student who passed away in November, a new fund has been established committed to healing the wounds of economic, racial and social injustice.

A native of Colorado, Ford Atkinson died on Nov. 4, 2019.

Contributions to Ford’s Fund are intended to restore the human spirit, give hope and help humans who need to know the grace and mercy of their Maker in practical ways.

Contributions may be sent to: Ford Atkinson Justice Fund, c/o Alpine Bank, 709 Horizon Dr., Grand Junction, CO 81506.

All funds will be sent from Alpine Bank to Vanguard, which administers the donor-advised fund. All donations will be made to registered 501c3 entities and may include the following: International Justice Mission – ijm.org, Kids Aid – kidsaidcolorado.org, Child & Migrant Services – migrantservicesgv.org, Grand Valley Catholic Outreach – catholicoutreach.org and The House – thehousegj.org.
