Nobody is hurt after a Friday-morning dryer fire at a home in Bainbridge.

At approximately 8:30 a.m., a box alarm went out to area fire personnel for a possible structure fire at 406 E. Pat Rady Way, in the vicinity of the Dollar General store.

The box alarm was sent out to the Bainbridge, Greencastle, Roachdale and Clinton Township fire departments, though the latter was disregarded shortly after arriving at the scene.

The Bellmore Fire Department covered the Bainbridge station during the incident.

Lt. Eric Gibson told the Banner Graphic at the scene that firefighters entered from the back of the home to find that the dryer was consumed. He also said that smoke could be seen upon arrival.

The fire was confined to the room where the dryer was located. Gibson also related that the fire was under control about eight minutes after arrival.

No one or any pets were inside the home at the time of the fire. The home is listed to Daniel Kelly.

Gibson estimated that damages were less than $5,000.
