John A. Higgins

John A. Higgins, 57, of Bainbridge, passed away Friday, May 22, 2020 at Fairway Village in Indianapolis.

He was born on May 26, 1962 in Greencastle to Robert G. and Betty J. (Edwards) Higgins.

John was a graduate of North Putnam High School. He then joined the United States Air Force where he worked as a nuclear weapons specialist. After his military duties, he then became a mechanic on heavy equipment.

He enjoyed working with his hands, detailing model airplanes and cars, as well as working on computers and art.

He is survived by his parents, Robert and Betty Higgins; brothers Dennis (Patricia) Higgins, Timothy Higgins, Stephen Higgins and David (Jo) Higgins; many nieces and nephews; and several aunts.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A funeral service for John will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27 at Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, IN 46172. Burial will follow in Bainbridge Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, May 26 at the funeral home from 4-7 p.m. Social distancing and limited numbers in attendance are expected to be followed.
