PCCF invites community to virtual annual meeting Sept. 30

Monday, September 21, 2020

The public is invited to join the Putnam County Community Foundation for its first virtual annual meeting Sept. 30.

Usually held earlier in the year, the meeting was postponed due to COVID-19 restrictions. Although the event will look a little different this year, the Community Foundation is delighted for the opportunity to open the meeting up to the community.

“Holding this year’s annual meeting virtually will allow us to expand our reach,” Executive Director Brandon Wells said. “We are excited at the prospect of introducing new people to the many ways the Community Foundation positively impacts Putnam County.”

The Community Foundation invites donors, fund stewards, nonprofit partners and community members to attend the meeting and learn how gifts to the foundation have been used to strengthen Putnam County.

Attendees will receive an update on the Community Foundation’s financial status, hear from board president Phil Gick and learn about grants awarded in 2019. Additionally planned are updates on 2020 and the announcement of several initiatives beginning Oct. 1.

The annual meeting will be held via Facebook Live. Individuals wishing to join the meeting should visit the Putnam County Community Foundation’s Facebook page at noon on Sept. 30. Anyone who does not have access to Facebook may contact Neysa Meyer at nmeyer@pcfoundation.org.

Attendees who join the meeting will have an opportunity to win a $50 gift card to a Putnam County restaurant. Additionally, attendees will learn how they can enter to win a 50-inch TV donated by Shuee’s Great Buys Plus.

For additional information regarding the annual meeting, persons may contact the Putnam County Community Foundation at 653-4978.

The Putnam County Community Foundation (PCCF) works alongside individuals, businesses and nonprofit organizations to build a stronger Putnam County. PCCF is home to more than 300 charitable funds and has awarded more than $16 million in grants and scholarships since its founding in 1985.
