CLOVERDALE -- Traffic on U.S. 231 under Interstate 70 will be stopped for up to 20 minutes on Friday, Nov. 6, the Indiana Department of Transportation has announced.

INDOT officials said there should only be two times between 10 and 11 a.m. that traffic will be stopped.

The stoppage is to necessary to remove the temporary I-70 bridge structure over U.S. 231. The I-70 interchange ramps will remain open during this time.

This project was awarded to Force Construction Co. for $6.6 million.

The I-70 bridges over U.S. 231 at Exit 41 at Cloverdale will be rebuilt. Construction is expected to be completed by June 30, 2021.
