Virtual concerts continue Wednesday

The Greencastle Virtual Music Festival debuts its third weekly Wednesday 7:30 p.m. online concert this week, presenting highlights of the 2019 Greencastle Summer Music Festival.

Featured performers are jazz pianist Steve Snyder, guitarist Espen Jensen, violist Nicole Brockmann and violinist Tarn Travers, classical pianist Claude Cymerman, and cellists Peter Kim and Eric Edberg.

The program includes both jazz and classical music from Mozart to Tchaikovsky.

Audience members can connect with Edberg, the performers and each other by joining a live Zoom “music party” at http://gvmf.live, including conversation with performers after the program debuts.

“We have always been committed to bringing a community together with friends making music for friends,” festival director Edberg said. “Having the opportunity to see and speak with each other online is a great way to break our isolation and have something of the experience of being together. The 40 of us who connected last week had a great time. We’ll keep getting together each week online until we can get together in person.”

The concerts can also be viewed at any time after they debut at facebook.com/greencastlevirtualmusic or greencastlemusic.org.

To be put on an email list for an announcement of each concert, contact Eric at greencastlevmf@gmail.com.
