Patricia M. Blanton

Patricia M. Blanton, 82, of Brazil, passed away at Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute on Nov. 6, 2020.

Patty was born on Dec. 23, 1937 in Indianapolis, the daughter of Thomas and Mildred (Kelley) Evans.

She graduated from Fillmore High School with the class of 1955. Following high school, she went to work for P.R. Mallory in Greencastle. She retired in 1995.

Patty was a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She loved to study and share the Bible. She also enjoyed sewing, flower gardening and her dog Mandy.

She was preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Mildred Evans; a son, Jeffery Broadstreet; and a brother, Gary Evans.

Survivors include her husband Dellon Blanton, whom she married on Feb. 3, 1979; her daughter and son-in-law Sandy Bridgewater and husband James of Brazil; stepchildren David Blanton and wife Diana of Greencastle, Donnie Blanton and wife Sheree of Reelsville and Sue Smiley and husband Danny of Florida; grandchild Nichole Church and husband Thaddeus; step-grandchildren Christopher Blanton, Ryan Blanton and wife Cheyene, Jamie Gleisner and Sarah Lowe and husband Adam Levine; former grandson-in-law Jesse Ison and wife Lindsay; great-grandchildren Amelia Ison and Arleigh Ison; and step-great-grandchildren Ian Myers, Caleb Myers, Dylan Myers, Josiah Myers, Bailey Blanton, Angie Blanton, Gracie Blanton, Austin Blanton, Devin Gleisner, Gabriel Gleisner, Julie Gleisner, Juliette Lowe and Viviane Lowe.

Private graveside services will be at Boone-Hutcheson Cemetery. A virtual celebration of life will be held at a later date.
