Stephen Woodrow Williamson

Stephen Woodrow Williamson, age 76, of Poland, passed away Jan. 4, 2021.

He was born June 16, 1944 to the late Woodrow and Doris (Schroer) Williamson.

Stephen married Sue Atkerson on April 9, 1967 and she survives.

Stephen was a former Owen County commissioner, was a bus driver for 54 years, a farmer, was on the South Central REMC board of directors for 31 years and was a member of the Clay County Masonic Lodge 83 in Bowling Green.

Besides his love of farming and driving a school bus for years, he enjoyed his time with people, friends and his beloved dogs J.D. and Duke. He would ride in his Kubota RTV around the farm with his Australian Shepherd Duke and drink his morning coffee outside. He served Owen County with pride, and was always glad to do so.

He is survived by his wife Sue Williamson and children Stephen Thomas Williamson and Dianna Sue (Jerry) Baysinger.

Funeral services for Stephen will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale.

Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 8 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
