Darcie Cox

North Putnam senior Darcie Cox was recently selected as the Outstanding Senior for Region 7 of Indiana’s Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) program.

Cox went through a competition process which included submitting a detailed resume, application, personal essay, transcript and three reference letters. She then interviewed via Zoom with a group of judges consisting of employer partners with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

High schools with JAG programs in Region 7 include North Putnam, Cloverdale, Northview, Sullivan, Riverton Parke, Parke Heritage, West Vigo, Terre Haute North and Terre Haute South.

Cox will advance to the JAG State Finals and compete against 11 other seniors selected to represent their respective JAG regions. In addition to being considered for JAG Indiana’s Outstanding Senior Award, she will also be considered for JAG’s Kenneth Smith Scholarship.

Cox is a two-year JAG student and has served as secretary for North Putnam’s JAG Career Association.
