Access Church hosting ‘God Help Me Stop’

CLOVERDALE — Folks looking for a faith-based path out of addiction — substances or otherwise — are about to have a new option.

Access Church at 501 N. Main St., Cloverdale, will begin the 12-week, 12-step program “God Help Me Stop” beginning on Wednesday, May 5 at 7 p.m.

The program will continue for 12 weeks, though Pastor Phil Ray allows that it could take a week or two longer to complete the class.

The bottom line is it is a class and organizers want as many people as possible starting the program on week one.

And while some with drug or alcohol addictions are certain to take part, the class is not limited to substance abuse, but open to anyone with “life-controlling problems.”

The program is free to anyone, though organizers request registrations in advance.

To learn more, contact Pastor Ray at 812-821-6289. Those who would like to register by mail may send their information to Access Church, P.O. Box 575, Clovedale, IN 46120.
