Georgia Lea Craig

Georgia Lea Craig, 93, of Greencastle, passed away Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Georgia was born in Greencastle on Dec. 17, 1927, the daughter of Russell and Mary (Alexander) Beams.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

Mrs. Craig worked for many years in assembly at Mallory’s.

Survivors include three children, Michael Rogers, Keith Rogers (Terri), and Nancy Rogers (Millard Gene Gross); a sister, Patty Turner (Ron); a special niece, Shirley Mendenhall; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Noble Glenn Rogers and Donald Craig; two children, Larry and Loretta Rogers; and eight brothers and sisters.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 6 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home, Greencastle. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to time of service on Tuesday.
