Board of Realtors thankful for support of bingo event

Monday, November 29, 2021

To the Editor:

On behalf of the Putnam County Board of Realtors, I would like to thank everyone who attended our bingo event on Saturday, Nov. 13. This bingo was our first in two years and we had a great crowd.

We started off the night by announcing a special donation made possible by First National Bank. It allowed us to start out the bonanza game with a $500 cash prize. Each additional bonanza ticket sold during the event added to the prize payout, which hit its maximum of $1,000 to one lucky winner. It also brought in extra money to the bottom line of the event.

In all, we profited over $7,000, making our scholarship fund the biggest winner of the night. Applications are now available online at https://pcfoundation.org/available-scholarships/. The deadline to apply is Jan. 21, 2022. In May, we will be announcing the Putnam County Scholarship winners for 2022.

I would also like to thank our main event sponsors for the bingo: Aames Title, Abstract and Title of Putnam County, Jon Blue – F.C. Tucker Advantage Realtors, Carpenter Realtors, First Financial Bank, First National Bank, Helmer Appraisal, HMSB Insurance, JTN Outdoor Power, McCloud Electric, Rural 1st, Jana Sillery – Fogle Real Estate, Teachers Credit Union, F.C. Tucker Advantage Realtors and Laura Wheeler – Century 21 Wheeler Realty.

Thank you to our members who volunteered their time the day of the bingo – Gina Carter, Amy Clark, Samantha Cooper, Lisa Fischer, My Gilley, Elizabeth Kienzynski, Traci (Dobson) McKinney, Mary Looper, Jeff Rich, Chris Skillern, Michelle Skillern and Lezley Wass. We also appreciated the help of several Greencastle National Honor Society members who assisted with concessions and cleanup.

This event would not be possible without those who helped organize the event and set up tables, chairs and equipment before and after the event, plus those who volunteered their time, talents and resources. We greatly appreciate all those who donated door prizes and concession items as well.

Thank you for making our scholarships to Putnam County graduating seniors possible.
