Daniel Howard Westbrook, 77, passed away Nov. 26, 2021 at Piedmont ICU, Pineville, N.C.

He resided in Fort Mill, S.C., with his wife of 26 years, Diane V. (Teeple) Westbrook.

Dan was born to Mary Martha (Ford) Riggle and Howard Westbrook in Indianapolis and was raised in Roachdale by his mother and highly respected stepfather Richard D. Riggle.

After graduating from Roachdale High School in 1962, he earned his degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University.

Dan spent most of his career in the garment and clothing manufacturing business. Settling as an Ameriprise financial adviser, he was an owner/operator of Two D Manufacturing in Veedersburg at one time in his life.

Dan is survived by his wife; three children, Kevin Howard Westbrook, Anita Danielle (Westbrook) Danniel and Heather Diane (Westbrook) Duff and stepdaughter Tracy Rose; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by his siblings, who knew him as brother “Boone,” elder brother David Gatlin, younger sister Kathleen Mary (Westbrook) Collings, little brothers Ronald D. Riggle and Charles V. Riggle and stepsister Virginia Carol (Westbrook) King.

Dan was preceded in death by his oldest brother, C.Thomas Gatlin, father, mother and stepfather.

Dan’s favorite flower was the rose. His stepfather was a prize winning rose grower.
