William ‘Bill’ Larry Majors

William “Bill” Larry Majors, 74, of Roachdale, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 16, 2021.

He was born on Oct. 12, 1947 in Elkin, N.C., to James McDonald Majors and Pauline Victoria Majors.

Bill married Bonnie Smith Lacy on Dec. 10, 1977. They were married 44 years.

After graduating from Mooresville High School he served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam for four years on the aircraft carrier as a boiler technician.

He worked at several boiler companies before starting his own business, BoilerMASTERS Inc., with his family in 1988. He worked 40-plus hours every week until he got sick.

He was Papaw to his grandkids; he loved being with his family, fixing/talking boilers, coffee, reading westerns, working outside and in his shop, dad jokes, and helping his children and others.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Isabella Christine Majors.

Surviving are his children, Christopher (Sherrie) Lacy, Crawfordsville, Abraham (Pam) Majors, Brownsburg, Benjamin (Danielle) Majors, Bringhurst, Ind., and Nora Lee Majors, Angola; siblings, Bobby (Sandy) Majors, Paulette Thornburg, Sandy Majors, Mike (Brenda) Majors, Debbie Pullen, Steve (Tamara) Majors, Lynn Minter and Robin (John) Dawson; grandchildren Josiah, Makenzie, Toby and Oliver Lacy; Xander, Isaac, Morgan and Alina Majors and several nieces and nephews,

Viewing for family and extended family will be held soon. A celebration of life will be held in January.
