Lloyd Michael Arnold

Lloyd Michael Arnold, 61, of Reelsville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2022.

He joined the Navy in 1977 at the ripe age of 17. He attended Plainfield High School and obtained his GED in 1978.

He earned his CDL in 1983. He drove for J.B. Hunt until 1989 and retired from Great Dane as a welder in 2017.

He enjoyed attending race events (NASCAR and dirt track), fishing, black-and-white comedies (aka The Three Stooges), computer games and a strong drink. His family and friends would describe him as hard-working, loyal, caring and humble.

He married Connie Madden in 1976 and they had two daughters, Kristy (Chris) Scott and Jennifer (James) Adams. They divorced and he spent his last 21 years with his significant other, Sheryl Cornett. He had four granddaughters, four grandsons and three great-grandsons.

Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at noon Thursday, Jan. 20 at Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the service time of 12 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be directed to Lloyd’s funeral fund to assist with expenses.
