Tracy Bridges would like to announce her candidacy on the Republican ticket for Putnam County Clerk

Bridges has 22 years of experience in county government. A few of her roles have included several years in the assessor’s and auditor’s offices, six years in the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office, where she served as the director of victims assistance, and she is currently finishing her second term as your elected county recorder.

During her time as county recorder, Bridges streamlined the office by allowing e-recordings online to provide same-day turnaround service, updated the computer software, provided extensive microfilm redaction to preserve county records and served on the Indiana Recorders Board of Education.

Her time in the prosecutor’s office allowed her to have working knowledge of both Superior and Circuit Court files and filings as well as hands-on experience working the elections. During her prior positions, she has learned to deal with day-to-day problems, effectively manage people, as well as meet state budgets and schedules.

Bridges promises to ensure her staff will serve the public in a prompt, courteous, professional and confidential manner. She will focus on the continued efforts of state-level officials to run safe, fair and efficient elections, all in an effort to ensure the residents and taxpayers of Putnam County get the service they expect and deserve. She has a passion for county government and is committed to serving the people of Putnam County with efficiency and accountability

Tracy graduated cum laude from Concordia University, where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and psychology. She is a member of the Elks and Eagles and is currently the vice president of the Putnam County Republican Party.

She is a lifetime resident of Putnam County, daughter to Dallas and Opal Sutherlin and mother to Carter, Carmen and Charlie.

Bridges feels confident in her ability to continue to serve the great people of Putnam County and asks for your continued support as your next Putnam County Clerk.
