Annual bus trip to Cub game at Wrigley Field set Aug. 6

Wednesday, July 20, 2022

The annual bus trip to a Cubs’ game at Wrigley Field is back.

After skipping two years (due to covid), the annual bus trip sponsored by Almost Home Restaurant will be Saturday, Aug. 6.

The Chicago Cubs will be facing the Miami Marlins. Gametime is 2:20 p.m. This will be the ninth time (beginning in 2011) a nice, comfortable chartered bus will leave Greencastle and trek its way up I-65 and through Chicago to that heavenly area called Wrigleyville.

Miller Bus Lines will leave the Putnam County Fairgrounds at 8 a.m. Trivia questions will provide en route entertainment with prizes for everyone. This year’s trivia categories are (1) Cubs, (2) Marlins and (3) country music. The bus will return to the Fairgrounds by around 11 p.m.

There are 24 seats in the bleachers for $83 each and 24 seats in terrace reserve for $79 each. The cost for the bus for each person is $50. Optional box lunches are also available for $15.

People of all ages are welcome. Several seats remain available.

For more information, or to make reservations, persons may contact Gail Smith at 721-0137 or Ken Carrington at 719-0350.
