New grief support, book group beginning Sept. 11

Thursday, September 1, 2022

A new grief group provided by Dusk-to-Dawn Bereavement Services will begin meeting Sunday, Sept. 11 at 4:30 p.m. at Gobin Memorial United Methodist Church.

Part support group and part book club, this is an opportunity to hear how others are sharing a similar experience while offering mutual support.

The six-week series will go over “It’s OK That You’re Not OK” by author Megan Devine. This book discusses how grief is treated in culture, how people react to words of comfort and how to live in the midst of grief.

Books are provided by Dusk-to-Dawn through a grant from the Putnam County Community Foundation. Facilitated by counselor J Miranda, the book group is one of several grant-funded initiatives under way.

To learn more, register and receive a copy of the book, visit www.dusk-to-dawn.org or call 765-267-1760. Those interested must register by Sept. 5.
