Paint the Towns

Making rapid progress since beginning earlier this week, artists taking part in the Putnam County Mural Festival beautify walls throughout the county. Hard at work in Roachdale, Anna Kell (foreground) paints a bird on the wall of Off the Rails in Roachdale while partner Jonathan Frey and assistant Nora Searles do detail work elsewhere.

Meanwhile, color bursts from Holly Sims’ mural in Fillmore (above), while Harriet Watson (below) works on the Roachdale Park building. In Greencastle, work on the Banner Graphic mural has been going for nearly two weeks, while the CVB mural will be completed between next Monday and Friday, when a block party is set to celebrate the entire festival.
