Monice Jeanette Heavin

Monice Jeanette Heavin, 98, of Greencastle, formerly of Fillmore, passed away on Friday, Nov. 25, 2022.

She was born May 24, 1924, in Greencastle, the daughter of Lois H. and Mabel C. (Byrd) Clark.

She was a graduate of Fillmore High School with the class of 1942.

Monice worked at DePauw University for several years. She was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, Rebekah Lodge and Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Heavin, in 1992 and her parents.

Monice is survived by her sons, David (Janice) Heavin and Jay (Diane) Heavin; three grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Private family graveside services will be held at the Fillmore Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home.
