Alice J. Masten

Alice J. Masten, 88, of Greencastle, passed away unexpectedly at Putnam County Hospital on Dec. 21, 2022.

Alice was born south of Bainbridge on Nov. 23, 1934, the daughter of Walter Elsworth and Mary Emma (Sears) Masten.

She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School.

She was a member of the Bainbridge Christian Church.

Alice worked at IBM in Greencastle for several years and retired from IBM in Florida after the Greencastle plant’s closure.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Emma Jean Masten and Juanita Pearl Masten.

At her request, graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27 at the Brick Chapel Cemetery.

Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Alice to the donor’s favorite charity.
