On the evening of Nov. 16, the 100+ Men of Putnam County gathered for its final quarterly meeting of 2022. This meeting was a celebration of eight years of giving back to Putnam County.

A big part of the evening’s celebration was the recognition that 100+ Men of Putnam County has awarded more than $500,000 to 24 unique Putnam County nonprofits in its eight-year history.

“We are very proud of 100+ Men of Putnam County and all of its 100-plus members,” 100+ Men board member Todd Lewis said.

Patty Pack (www.pattypack.org) was the nonprofit winner of $10,200 on this particular evening. Joe Peterson presented on behalf of Patty Pack.

The sole purpose of the Patty Pack Fund is to help food insecure people in Putnam County. Currently, the group partners with elementary schools to ensure that all students have food at home on the weekend.

In the future, the organization wants to accelerate partnerships and collaboration to eliminate the Meal Gap in Putnam County.

The complete list of the 24 nonprofits helped by 100+ Men over the last eight years includes: Imagination Library (PCPL), Beyond Homeless, Area 30 Career Center, CareNet Pregnancy Center, Non-Food Pantry, Boy Scout Troop 99, Heritage Preservation Society of Putnam County, Mental Health of Putnam County, The Castle, Ivy Tech Greencastle ASAP, SAWs, United Way Real Men Read, Round Barn Day Care, Family Support Services, Putnam County Kids Count, Putnam County Mural Project (Silos), Putnam County Dollars for Scholars, United Way (Covid Relief), Putnam County Sheriff (Body Armor), Putnam County 360 Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, Edge 21 (21st Century Scholars), Russellville Community Center, Patty Pack and Putnam County Community Foundation

Anyone interested in joining 100+ Men of Putnam County should contact a board member for information.
