Deadline for candidate bios extended to July 31

The lack of a contested primary in the upcoming municipal elections will delay the inclusion of candidate biographies in the Banner Graphic.

Originally slated for early March for primary candidates, the lack of a primary led to few submissions.

The deadline for submission by all candidates will be July 31.

This deadline will give the Banner Graphic staff plenty of time to run all bios before absentee voting begins in October.

Each candidate for city or town office in the 2023 election is eligible to submit a story.

Candidates must limit the length of their submissions to 500 words. As always, we reserve the right to edit all stories for style, clarity and accuracy.

Candidate stories may be emailed (the preferred method) to the Banner Graphic at news@bannergraphic.com or mailed to the Banner Graphic, P.O. Box 509, Greencastle, IN 46135. They can also be hand-delivered to the office at 100 N. Jackson St., Greencastle.

A color headshot photograph should be provided with the written submission.

Plans are to publish all articles submitted by candidates by the end of September.
