St. Andrew’s non-food pantry making transition

While new leadership and a more sustainable way to distribute goods are being sought, there are no plans to cease the Putnam County Non-Food Pantry at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church.

With it evolving over the next few months, the pantry’s regular drive-through distributions are still set for Saturday, April 29 and Saturday, May 27 from noon-3 p.m. Distributions are not to be held in June and July so that new leaders can be trained and a new way of giving out products can be organized.

Those interested in taking on a leadership role with the program, or anyone who leads a group that could partner with it, may call the church office at 653-3921. They should leave their full name and number.

“The Putnam County Non-Food Pantry is committed to serving the community, and we look forward to collaborating with a wider network of people in the coming months,” church representative Martha Rainbolt said.

Rainbolt encouraged those who receive products through the pantry to check the Banner Graphic in the meantime for updates and changes about the program.
