Body in Plainfield creek identified as Mooresville man

PLAINFIELD — The body of a deceased individual located in a Hendricks County creek has been identified as a missing Mooresville man.

On Wednesday, the Hendricks County Coroner’s Office positively identified the man as 28-year-old Jonathan Critser.

Critser had been reported missing to the Morgan Count Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 24, 2022.

The body was located in the creek on Friday, April 7 near the 7300 block of County Road 750 East, south of Plainfield.

The Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office is in charge of the investigation, with help from the Indiana Department of Natural Resources and the Hendricks County Coroner’s Office.

The investigation into the cause and manner of death is still ongoing. No foul play is suspected in this case.
