In the first game of the day, Greencastle started off quickly as Sydney Lantzy tripled and scored on a dropped third strike for a 1-0 lead.

After two quiet innings, the Tiger Cubs loaded the bases with two outs but saw the next two batters strikeout to bring Olivia Richardville up in the nine spot.

The senior left fielder slammed the third offering from Callie Smith over the center field fence for a grand slam that made it 9-0, though Greencastle was unable to find another run to end the game after five innings.
