Greencastle to host basketball camp at end of June

The Greencastle Boys’ Basketball Club will be hosting a basketball camp from June 26-29 for boys entering grades 1-8 this upcoming school year.

Cost of the camp is free and each camper will receive a T-shirt; the camp has been sponsored by Wal-Mart of Greencastle.

The camp will take place at McAnally Center. Grades 1-4 will attend from 5-6:15 p.m. and Grades 5-8 from 6:30-7:45 p.m.

Instructions will be delivered by the high school coaching staff along with the current Tiger Cub high school players.

Campers will work on fundamentals, including dribbling, passing, shooting, defense and footwork.

Campers will scrimmage and participate in contests daily. Contest winners will receive a camp champ prize.

On the final day of camp, a dunk show by Boomer, the Indianapolis Pacer mascot, will take place at 6:30 p.m. The event is open to all campers as well as families of the players attending the camp.
