The weekly Parkfest concert series, sponsored by the Greencastle Civic League, is scheduled for 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday in the bandshell at Robe-Ann Park.

The June 20 artist lineup will see Gus Moon opening with the second act being Peace Among the Plants.

Gus Moon is the stage/band name of local songwriter Anthony Mullis, who grew up on a farm in Bainbridge.

Over the past decade, he has performed around the country. The music Mullis writes falls into the Americana genre. These days his time in front of crowds playing music has diminished.

He shifted his energy to learning and attempting filmmaking. Over the past year he and a small group of friends have been filming a feature-length movie. The debut film, “Buldoser,” is set to be complete and screened locally in October.

Peace Among the Plants is a local Rage Against the Machine cover band. The band consists of Donovan Asbell on vocals, Parker Black on guitar, Bryan Langdoc on bass and Taulbee Jackson on the drums.

Parkfest takes place each Tuesday in June and July, except July 4. Other performers this summer include June 27: Conner Barcus, Black Market Vinyl; July 11: Justin Monts, Perpetual Journey; July 18: Him & Her, Danny Martin and the Danocasters; and July 25 (family night): Blue Flame, Bluebird Collective.
