Ralph Buis

Ralph Buis, 77, of Greencastle, passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 surrounded by his family.

Born June 25, 1946 in Belle Union the son of Arthur Freeman “Windy” and Myrtle (Osborn) Buis.

Ralph retired from Navistar (International Harvester) in Indianapolis, where he had worked for 30 years. He was a loyal Moose Lodge member for several years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Douglas Buis; brothers Virgil, Charles Walter “Jaybird” and Gerald Buis; and sister Norris Sears.

Ralph is survived by his wife of 59 years, Phyllis (Price) Buis; sons Phillip (Jennifer) Buis and Joseph Buis; brothers Kenny Buis and Art Buis; sisters Nora Miller and Carolyn Bemis; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held for Ralph on July 15, 2023 at the Moose Lodge, 212 W. Franklin St. Greencastle from 2-5 p.m.
