Yard waste site available following Thursday storm

In light of storms that rolled through the area on Thursday, West Central Solid Waste District reminds the public that the yard waste site southwest of Greencastle is open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The site will operate on its regular hours on Monday, July 3 and Wednesday, July 5 from noon-6 p.m. as well as from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on Saturday, July 8.

The site is located at 2363 S. CR 250 West, beyond the county highway garage. Greencastle and Putnam County residents may drop off tree limbs and leaves from the recent storm.

The usual drop off fees will apply.

Given the amount of cleanup that has happened, and will continue, I wonder if the days and times could be expanded. Maybe even fees waved?
