Star-Spangled Celebration

Decked out in a shirt decorated like Old Glory itself, Danny Martin looks the part Tuesday for the Fourth of July crowd at Robe-Ann Park as he and the Danocasters regale the crowd with a rendition of Merle Haggard’s “Big City.”

Later in the evening, the skies over the park light up with the annual fireworks celebration to conclude the day.

In the heat of the day, though, the place to be at the park is the Greencastle Aquatic Center, as residents enjoy free access to the pool for the holiday.

Meanwhile, local car enthusiasts are gathered for a cruise-in at Shelter No. 5.
