County Jail

One person was booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Friday

• At 10:55 p.m. Patrick O. Yockey, 20, Terre Haute, was booked in for driving while intoxicated and being a minor in consumption of alcohol.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 11:56 p.m. Saturday, Kim D. Gorham, 64, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Chris Helmer.

Stopped at Veterans Memorial Highway and Warren Drive, Gorham was lodged at the Putnam County Jail for driving while intoxicated and public intoxication. He registered a blood-alcohol concentration level of .264 percent under portable breathalyzer testing.

• At 4:03 a.m. Saturday, Kameron E. Hayes, 24, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Helmer.

Taken into custody at a Ridgway Street residence, Hayes was lodged at the jail for criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon.

• At 10:40 a.m. Friday, Michael Van Every, 43, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Billy DeWitt.

Stopped at Washington Street and Percy Julian Drive, Van Every was charged with public intoxication and unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle. He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail.

Three recent summonses were issued by city officers:

• At 10:46 p.m. Sunday, Myiona Frieson, 26, Evansville, was issued a summons into court by Officer Helmer.

Stopped at South Jackson Street and Jackson Boulevard, Frieson was given a summons for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense and for possession of a Schedule I controlled substance.

• At 1:26 p.m. Saturday, Tamara Mobley, 55, was given a summons by Officer Luke Brown.

Stopped at Arlington and Seminary streets, Mobley was issued a summons for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

• At 8:40 p.m. Friday, Lindsey Bonebright, 34, Indianapolis, was issued a summons by Officer Helmer.

Stopped along Bloomington Street, Bonebright was given a summons for driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.

One recent citation was issued by city officers:

• At 6:40 p.m. Friday, Chelsea Steele, 33, Greencastle, was ticketed by Officer Damon Ludwig.

Stopped at 10th Street and Round Barn Road, Steele was cited for having an expired license plate (Oct. 28, 2022).

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to five incidents since Thursday:

• At 5:48 a.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Breadworks for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 5:48 and determined the alarm was due to cooking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 5:53 a.m.

• At 9:55 p.m. on Friday, GFD was dispatched to Moose Lodge 1592 for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:58 and were advised that the alarm was due to cooking and that the alarm system had been reset. GFD went back into service at 10:02 p.m.

• At 12:04 a.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to 295 E. CR 300 South for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 12:14 and determined the alarm was due to a faulty detector. GFD went back into service at 12:34 a.m.

• At 1:59 p.m. on Saturday, GFD received a direct call for a smell of gas in the area of Seminary and Bloomington streets. Firefighters arrived at 2:03 p.m. but could not locate the smell. GFD went back into service at 2:23 p.m.

• At 10:33 p.m. on Saturday, GFD was dispatched to the apartments at 330 Greenwood Ave. for a fire alarm. Firefighters arrived at 10:38 and determined the alarm was due to smoking. The alarm system was reset. GFD went back into service at 10:49 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for seven medical assists and had one disregard in this timeframe.
