Charlene (Frazer) Hughes, 75, of Cloverdale, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 14, 2023.

She was born on June 20, 1948 to Charles E. and Betty J. Frazer. She married Chester Lee Hughes on May 28, 1970 in Norfolk, Va. He survives.

Charlene graduated from George Washington High School with the class of 1966. She worked for both Beveridge Paper Company and Servaas Paper Company in Indianapolis. She then owned and operated several antique shops — Sunday Traveler, Country Antiques and Out Our Way Café. She deeply loved her family more than anything, gardening, refinishing furniture and of course, antiquing.

She is survived by her husband, Chester; son, Adam (Beverly) Hughes; grandson Addison (Arianna) Hughes; along with her siblings, Dan (Charlotte) Frazer, Bob (Suzie) Frazer, Bill Frazer, Mary Gott, Anna Piper and Jon (Robbin) Frazer; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Sam Frazer and brother-in-law Earl Piper.

Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, July 19 at the Servies & Morgan Funeral Home, 102 E. Washington St., Roachdale, with Pastor Tim Tesmer officiating. Burial will follow in New Maysville Cemetery, in New Maysville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, July 18 from 5-7 p.m., also at the funeral home.
