Cheryl Jo ‘Boom Boom’ Crawley

Cheryl Jo “Boom Boom” Crawley, 69, of Greencastle, passed away Monday, July 17, 2023, at Asbury Towers.

Cheryl was born in Terre Haute on July 13, 1954, the daughter of David A. and Elsie B. (Lowe) Reed, and was a 1972 graduate of Terre Haute South High School.

Mrs. Crawley was a member of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC), a lifelong member of the Elks Club and a former member of the Moose. She was a bartender and cook for Varsity Lanes for many years and she was an avid bowler.

Survivors include her daughter, Miranda Crawley, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 28 years, Stephen “Bubba” Crawley; her stepmother, Henrietta Reed; seven brothers, Estol, Charlie, Les, Phil, Clifford Sr., Kerney and Buddy Reed; and her mother- and father-in-law, Randall and Marie Crawley.

Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 24 at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday.
