Stephen (Steve) Arthur Wright

Stephen (Steve) Arthur Wright, 79, of Greencastle, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 3, 2023, at Allisonville Meadows Assisted Living in Fishers.

He was born on Nov. 24, 1943, to Arthur and Madelyn Wright in Greencastle.

He graduated from Greencastle High School in 1962 and then Indiana State University in 1966 with a bachelor of science in business administration.

Steve served as a medic in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. After a distinguished career with ServiceMaster, Steve returned to Greencastle for retirement, where he enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends and family.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Mary Kaye Hunteman of Richmond.

He is survived by his niece, Susan Dormans, and her children, Grace, Lily and Theo of Valencia, Calif., as well as his nephew, David Hunteman, niece Melissa (Chris) Jordan and his brother-in-law, Dr. Roy Hunteman, all of Richmond.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11 at Bittles & Hurt Funeral Home, followed by burial at New Providence Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home at 12 p.m. until the start of service.
