Second Saturday to feature petting zoo for August event

The August Second Saturday event in Greencastle will feature a petting zoo on South Indiana Street outside Scoops Ice Cream from 6-8 p.m. Saturday.

The petting zoo is coming to Greencastle. Second Saturday returns this Saturday from 6-8 p.m. on South Indiana Street outside of Scoops Ice Cream.

This month’s entertainment will feature a number of farm-friendly interactions to go along with the petting zoo — including a milking contest featuring “Betsy” the fake cow.

Big Bounce Funhouse Rentals will also be providing a bounce house and other carnival games like “chicken flingers.”

Second Saturday exists to provide free family entertainment to all the kids of Greencastle. As a mission of Greencastle Presbyterian Church, the hope is an event that creates connection and community.

Second Saturday will have two more events this season with a magic show coming in September and a closing celebration and movie in October.
