Utility workers could be seen digging up a patch of pavement in front of Breadworks in Greencastle Tuesday evening, after a major water main break cropped up.

  • Bad luck this happened under a section of roadway that was already replaced. Now it’ll never be fixed properly.

  • You missed the geyser on Highwood last week. Thanks to the crew that worked into the hot and steamy night and came back as the sun rose to fix it. Now for repaving!

  • There was also a water leak at the ice cream place just up the street from this last week. Wonder if it’s all related??

  • This leads to a bigger question- what is the age of the infrastructure in the US? Condition thereof? Cost to repair/ replace? In my travels, I have seen bridges that make me wonder what condition they are in.
