Jimmie Ray Heller, of Greencastle, passed away Sept. 9, 2023, at his home.

He was born Dec. 12, 1948, to Reva M. (Evens) Bundy and James L. Heller in Putnam County.

He formerly worked for the Greencastle Stock Yard and Greencastle Convalescent Home, owned Mr. J’s Barber Shop for a number of years as well as Food Service Management (concession stands) and was a avid wood cutter.

He enjoyed the simple things in life like horsemanship, exploring the woods, mushroom and ginseng hunting, gardening, baking, wrestling, music, art and maintaining his property.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 54 years, Nancy G. (Harmless) Heller; their six loving children, Lisa (Heller) and Frank O’Conner Jr., Timothy Heller, Amy Heller, Buffy Heller-Taylor, Stacy (Heller) McPheron and Dustin Heller; his beloved 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; his brother, Steven Heller and wife Cathy; several sisters and brothers-in-law; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Reva M. (Evens) Bundy; stepfather Earl W. Bundy; father James L. Heller; sister Joyce F. Heller; two grandsons, Kasey Ryan and Kevin Riley Dunscombe; and son-in-law Mark McPheron.

He was blessed to hear from all of his children grandchildren and great-grandchildren in the days before returning to his lifelong home in Putnam County, where he passed to be with our Lord.

Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 15 from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the Bousley Funeral Home, Coatesville. There will be a graveside service at 3 p.m. at the Clinton Falls Cemetery with burial to follow.
