County Jail

Seven people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.

Wednesday

• At 2:36 p.m. Anthony L. Anderson, 33, Cloverdale, was lodged at the jail for public intoxication.

• At 6:16 a.m. Kevin B. McCloud, 58, Indianapolis, was housed at the jail for driving while intoxicated.

Tuesday

• At 11:47 p.m. Richard D. Garske, 61, Cloverdale, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 9:18 p.m. Michael A. Isbill, 38, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.

• At 3:09 a.m. Noah G. Eller, 38, Poland, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.

Monday

• At 5:47 p.m. Johnathan E. Hyde, 41, Bainbridge, was booked in on a local warrant.

• At 3:39 p.m. Cory M. Walker, 34, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a writ of body attachment.

City Police

Three recent arrests were reported by Greencastle City Police officers:

• At 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, driver Rosetta M. Nesbit, 40, and passenger Crystal D. Baugh, 41, both of Terre Haute, were arrested by Officer Chris Helmer.

Taken into custody after pulling into the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter off Indianapolis Road, Nesbit was lodged in the Putnam County Jail on charges of driving as a habitual traffic violator and on a Vigo County warrant for failure to appear on the original charge of operating a motor vehicle after forfeiture of license for life.

Baugh was booked in for unlawful possession of a syringe and possession of methamphetamine.

• At 11:02 p.m. Tuesday, Mark A. Fox, 52, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Justin Herd.

Fox was taken into custody after he pulled into the McDonald’s parking lot. He was lodged in the Putnam County Jail for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.

One recent summons was reported by city officers:

• At 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, Sierra Baugh, 21, Terre Haute, who was also a passenger in the Nesbit vehicle noted above, was issued a summons by Officer Helmer.

Baugh was issued a summons into court on the charge of possession of paraphernalia.

Four recent citations were issued by Sgt. Nick Eastham:

• At 9:18 a.m. Tuesday, Michelle Stevens, 52, Cloverdale, was stopped in the 900 block of East Washington Street.

Stevens was cited for speeding in a school zone at 40 mph in a 20-mph zone.

• At 7:55 a.m. Tuesday, Zachery Clodfelter, 20, Coatesville, was stopped at Bloomington and Hanna streets.

Clodfetlter was cited for driving with an expired plate which was no longer legal after March 21, 2023.

• At 10:09 a.m. Monday, Paice Niemeyer, 33, Cloverdale, was stopped at Bloomington and Block streets.

Niemeyer was cited for driving with an expired plate which was no longer legal after July 21, 2022.

• At 9:36 a.m. Monday, Amanda Peterson, 42, Greencastle, was stopped along East Washington Street.

Peterson was cited for driving with an expired plate which was no longer legal after April 30, 2023.

City Fire

The Greencastle Fire Department responded to one incident between Monday and Wednesday:

• At 9:21 p.m. on Monday, GFD was dispatched to 1175 Paddock Ct. for a carbon monoxide alarm. Firefighters arrived at 9:25 and detected CO in the building, after which it was determined that it was coming from a hot water heater. The gas was shut off and the building was ventilated. It was reported that several residents were checked out by EMS. GFD went back into service at 10:51 p.m.

Additionally, GFD responded for nine medical assists and had two disregards in this timeframe.
