Roachdale Rib & Blues Festival set Saturday

ROACHDALE — The Roachdale Rib & Blues Festival will return Saturday, Sept. 30 with the 10th annual event from noon-8 p.m.

Presented by the Roachdale Rivitalization Cooperative Alliance, the festival will include ribs and other foods, retail vendros, a beer and wine garden and live music throughout the day.

The Fret Set will kick off the live performances at 1:30 p.m., followed by Black Market Vinyl, then Mona & the Hitchhikers, with headliner Jennie DeVoe at 6 p.m.

The festivities take place on Railroad Street on the town’s north side.

Food vendors will include Wally’s barbecue, Double D’s Southern barbecue, Podium barbecue, E&M Hot Diggity Dog, Don Julio Mexican Restaurant, Off the Rails Catering (ribeye sandwiches), That Good Kettle Korn, Almost Home and Delta Theta Tau (soups, desserts, soda and water).
