PIC OF THE DAY: Two-Way Traffic Ahead

Tuesday, November 21, 2023
It’s all smiles for motorists on the north side of Greencastle Tuesday morning, as U.S. 231/North Jackson Street has reopened to two-way traffic between Shadowlawn Avenue and the Putnam County Museum. With INDOT installing storm sewer in the area, it had been reduced to a single lane with temporary traffic signals controlling the flow of traffic since mid-October. Though work is ongoing on the west side of the road, with traffic barrels still dotting the center line, gone are the concrete barricades and traffic signals, with traffic flowing in both directions since Monday evening.

  • Not bad if you don't mind the roller coaster poor job of a smooth surface of repaving job.
