Gearing Up

Sunday, December 24, 2023
Having worked together to make spirits brighter this season, American Legion Post 58 in Greencastle accepts 25 bicycles from Putnamville Correctional Facility’s Shifting Gears program recently. Present for the donation are (from left) Putnamville Re-Entry Coordinator Brady Moss, Legion representatives Tim Williams, Bob Tyler and Tony Sparks, Shifting Gears Coordinator Darren Anderson, Kathy Sparks, bartenders JoAnn Johnson and Julie Wood and the Legion’s Dave Hollis. Provided by Bicycle Garage Indy, offenders in the program took the used bicycles and refurbished them to working order. This is the partnership’s second effort.

  • Good to see the Greencastle American Legion Post 58, Sons of the Legion Squadron 58 and Legion Auxillary with another community project.
