County Jail
Several people were booked in the Putnam County Jail recently.
Thursday
At 9:23 a.m. Alice M. Payne, 59, Cloverdale, was taken into custody for possession of a narcotic drug, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a synthetic drug or lookalike substance, possession of paraphernalia with a prior conviction and maintaining a common nuisance
At 12:59 a.m. Teresa L. Lansing, 61, Poland, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.
Wednesday
At 3:59 p.m. Thomas E. Schultheis, 57, Cloverdale, was booked in for possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of a syringe and on three local warrants.
Tuesday
At 5:23 a.m. Billy L. Cheesman, 18, Terre Haute, was lodged at the jail on a local warrant.
Monday
At 9:59 p.m. William P. Garvin, 65, Greencastle, was taken into custody on a local warrant.
Sunday
At 1:01 a.m. Ashley L. Campbell, 36, Bloomington, was housed at the jail for possession of methamphetamine and theft.
At 12:42 a.m. Ryan L. Bowling, 40, Terre Haute, was booked in for theft.
Saturday
At 1:38 a.m. Shaun M. Guerrero, 41, Greencastle, was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated.
Friday, Jan. 12
At 10:27 p.m. John W. Moy, 66, Greencastle, was housed at the jail on a local warrant.
At 7:41 p.m. Lashawn Griffin, 27, Lafayette, was booked in on a local warrant.
At 3:34 p.m. Bailey P. Long, 24, Indianapolis, was lodged at the jail for driving while intoxicated endangering a person.
At 12:25 p.m. Amber L. Bennett, 37, Fillmore, was taken into custody on a local warrant.
City Police
One recent arrest was reported by Greencastle City police officers:
At 10:52 p.m. Saturday, Brian J. Kamplain, 41, Greencastle, was arrested by Officer Justin Herd.
Taken into custody at South Jackson and Berry streets, Kamplain was lodged in the Putnam County Jail for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. His blood-alcohol content level registered .197 percent under portable breathalyzer testing.
One recent summons was issued by city officers:
At 1:26 p.m. Wednesday, Dwayne Anderson, 32, Greencastle, was issued a summons from Officer Jared McDaniel.
Stopped at Shadowlawn and Greenwood avenues, Anderson was given a summons into court on a charge of driving with a suspended license with a prior offense.
One recent traffic accident was investigated by city officers:
At 10:13 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, a two-vehicle accident was reported on Indianapolis Road (no cross street was specified in the report).
Officer Herd reported that Fernando Rivera, 45, Greencastle, was eastbound, driving a 2011 Ford F-150 truck, when he lot control of the vehicle on the snow-covered roadway.
Riveras vehicle entered the westbound lane and struck head-on a 2007 Ford F-250 truck driven by Derek Ford, 35, Fillmore.
Total damage in the accident was estimated at $5,000-$10,000.
Rivera suffered minor injuries and was cleared by Putnam County EMS, as was Ford, who complained of arm pain.
Both trucks had to be towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
