Other stops included Leavenworth, Kan.; Syracuse, N.Y.; Washington, D.C.; and Indianapolis. Upon Gus’ retirement, they moved to Greencastle, where she lived for 40 years.

Nancy’s hobbies included painting and jigsaw puzzles. For several years, she and Gus traveled to meetings of the U.S. Army Retired Finance Organization (RAFINO). She was also a Girl Scout leader and loved anything chocolate.

She was known for her kindness and warm, cheerful smile.
